Hello world!

This is a blog where attorneys, paralegals and the public are invited to ask questions related to elevator and escalator issues.  I am an expert and not a lawyer and cannot furnish legal advice.  I can give you the benefit of 48 years in the elevator industry and 20 years as an expert witness and consultant.  I have served as an expert in over 1500 cases, testified in State & Federal Courts ans assisted my clients in recovering nearly 200 million dollars for their clients.  I enjoy talking about elevator and escalator accidents and am not seeking assignments.  My dance card is full most of the time with great Plaintiff  (60%) and Defense cases.

We are seeing many elevator cases involving passengers being struck by closing doors. Our study of the evolution of the way they are being adjudicated by the Appellate Courts is availabe by e-mail, ask for The LIR Report, May 2008 and ask to be placed on our e-mail list for future LIR reports. We always welcome phone inquiries, and all conversations are PRO BONO, two words we know lawyers love to hear!
